In-person Sunday Service
We are pleased to announce Step 1 of our Emmaus Regathering Plan, with the first in-person service on Sunday, October 18th at 11:00 am. This will be held at BCA.
This first step will allow us to hold a Sunday service at a capacity of 50 people due to social distancing guidelines.
Note that the wearing of masks will be mandatory inside the building (Bring your own mask), according to the City of Burlington Mask Bylaw.
Pre - registration is required in order to attend a service.
Registration is now open for the first live service, Sunday, October 25th.
Registration for subsequent weeks will open at 9 a.m. Monday the week of.
Online Services will continue to be available each Sunday at 11:00 am at Youtube Channel
WHAT TO EXPECT
In Step 1, services will incorporate preaching & prayer.
Programs for children and nursery will be included in later steps.
Children need to remain with their parent/guardian at all times.
Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. Please allow enough time to get checked in and seated before 11 a.m.
Upon arrival, guests will be asked to observe social distancing guidelines as they enter through the church’s front doors where they will be greeted by a Team Member who will check them in from the list of registrants.
Once in the church a Team Member will show guests to their seats where they will be asked to remain for the duration of the service. Washrooms are available. Other areas of the church including cafe & hall will be closed. At the conclusion of the service guests will leave the worship centre row by row and exit the building immediately through the front doors.
HEALTH & SAFETY GUIDELINES
Based on recommendations provided by leading health experts, individuals impacted by any one or more of the following criteria are considered “vulnerable persons”:
• 65 years of age and over
• Those with compromised immune systems
• Those with underlying medical conditions
Please keep this information in mind when you are considering regathering with the Emmaus Family. You may decide that it is best for you, at this time, to continue to join us online for Sunday Services
at 11:00 am.
If you or anyone in your household is experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, difficulty breathing, chills, headache, muscle pain, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell) prior to attending, we ask that you not attend.
If you or anyone in your household exhibits COVID-19 related symptoms after attending, please notify our office at firstname.lastname@example.org, so that we may track any potential outbreaks within the Emmaus community. All such personal information will be maintained confidentially.
